College Raptor Names TAC Among “Top 25 Best” for Western & Rural Colleges

Posted: August 31, 2020

In keeping with its regular placement in the top tiers of such college guides as the Princeton ReviewU.S. News & World Report, and The Newman Guide, Thomas Aquinas College has once more earned the kudos of a lesser-known source, College Raptor. The online consultancy has included the College among the “prestigious colleges and universities” in its 2021 Top 25 and rankings.

What distinguishes College Raptor from its various counterparts is that the service aspires to a more personalized approach, offering recommendations based on students’ particular interests and financial needs. Its college Top 25 lists rely entirely on publicly available data about American colleges and universities, including selectivity, first-year retention rates, standardized test scores, student-to-faculty ratios, and graduation rates.

“Thomas Aquinas College is quite unique,” the guide observes, noting that the College “offers only one major: Liberal Arts” and “doesn’t accept direct funding from the government.” Furthermore, “the student-to-faculty ratio is 11 to 1,” and the College “boasts a 91 percent first-year retention rate.”
